DIY Seasonal gift event

Do-It-Yourself Seasonal Gift event – EMMTEC Foyer 25th November 11am-3pm
We’ll have lots of igenious crafty solutions for your gift wrapping and decoration problems. Come along and learn how to make lovely things.
If you’ve got any of the following spare to donate we’d be really grateful:
  • Colourful/ nice plastic bags
  • Paper bags (the kind with a handle, think boutique, not the kind you get your veg in)
  • Charity bin bags
  • A3 sized old maps
  • Unwanted stamps and inks
  • String/ twine and ribbon

You can bring your donations to the Estates Department or contact Alison Wilmshurst or Cara Tabaku and we’ll collect them from you on Campus!

Edible City

In association with the City Council and Transition Lincoln we will be screening Edible City (a film about growing your own in an urban environment) followed by a discussion with local food growing experts. This event marks the launch of Permaculture training opportunities in Lincoln. It’ll be an opportunity to find out more about growing your own and you’ll be able to sign up to a free 2 day Introduction to Permaculture course to be held on 18th & 19th and 29th & 30th January 2014.

The Black Fish speaking tour 2013

On Thursday 24th October at 7pm we welcome Weitse van der Werf from the Black Fish to the University of Lincoln.  The Black Fish are an international marine conservation movement working to raise awareness of the damage caused to our marine environment by intensive overfishing.  There’ll be a short film, talk and lots of opportunities to ask questions.  We will be providing tables for any interested local environmental groups wishing to attend and display information/ chat to attendees (please email awilmshurst@lincoln.ac.uk if you’d like to reserve a table).

This is a FREE event and will take place in the Jackson Lecture Theatre, Main Admin Building, Brayford Pool, University of Lincoln on Thursday 24th October at 7pm.
