Most radiators in Student Village Courts 1 to 5 and Courts 13 -17 are now fitted with eTRVs (electronic Thermostatic Radiator Valves) or more simply put smart heating controls that regulate the temperature of the room according to the time and day of the week.
PLEASE DO NOT TWIST THE CONTROL
Each control has its own 24/7 timeclock and is programmed to come on at set times (0600-2200) of the day to a comfortable temperature.
The controls also have a boost button (grey in colour) which, when pressed for 2 seconds, increases the room temperature by 2 degrees for an hour. So if you’re up late into the night, you can boost the temperature at any time.
